How to prepare a Basic Sponge Cake?

For the first cake you can follow the recipe mentioned below - Basic sponge Cake
This is another way of making a cake.  You will not have to beat the eggs by hand as a beater is used for that.
Ingredients needed for the basic sponge cake :
1 cup sieved cake flour
 1 tsp Baking powder
 3 eggs, separated
 1/4 cup water
 1 cup sugar, divided
 2 egg whites
1/4 tsp Salt
1 tsp vanilla

How to prepare  Basic Sponge Cake:
Combine cake flour, baking powder, and salt in a big bowl, stir well and keep aside.
Whisk the 3 egg yolks in an electric mixer / blender,  at high speed of for about a minute.
Add 3/4 cup sugar, whisking constantly for about 5 minutes, or  at least  till the egg yolks are thick.
Combine vanilla Essence and a quarter cup water with it, beating at low speed till the mixture gets well blended.
Add flour mixture to the egg yolk mixture beating at low speed till blended, keep aside.
Beat the 2 egg whites in a bowl at room temperature at high speed till frothy and fluffy.
Slowly add rest of the sugar, beating till peaks form.
Stir one fourth of the egg white mixture into the batter and gently fold in the rest of the egg white mixture.
Pour the batter into an  ungreased 10 inch tube pan.
Bake at 350 degrees F for about 35 minutes till cake springs back when touched lightly in the centre.
Invert the pan and let it cool for about 45 minutes.
Now just flip the pan and remove the cake gently.

Points to Note:
You can store the extra white of an egg in a small box or jar in the freezer, till you need. Or mix it while making an omelette for the breakfast the next day.
There are many recipes which needs egg whites only.
You can also apply the egg white on your face and the neck area and then wash off in plain water after it dries off.  This egg white by itself is a very good face mask for all skins.
