Ingredients needed for the Mambazha Pulissery
1/2 kg small ripe mangoes
1 cup water
4 green chillies, slit
1 tsp chilli powder
½ tsp turmeric powder
A few curry leaves
Salt to taste
1/2 tsp cumin powder
1/2 cup coconut milk
For seasoning the Mambazha Pulissery
1 tbsp oil
1 tsp mustard seeds
2 dry red chillies, broken into bits
How to prepare Mambazha Pulissery?
Peel the skin from mangoes and keep them whole if they are small.
Add 1 cup water in a pan and cook the mangoes with green chillies, chilli powder, turmeric powder, curry leaves and salt.
Add cumin powder to coconut milk. When the mango mixture cools, add the coconut milk and mix well.
Heat oil in a pan and splutter the mustard seeds. Add red chillies and pour into the curry.
Serve hot as a side dish along with plain rice..
