Ulli Chammandhi with red chillies


Ingredients needed for the Ulli Chammandhi:
1 cup small onions, peeled and chopped
3 tsps red chilli powder
salt to taste
2 tsps tamarind paste
2 tbsps coconut oil

How to prepare the dish Ulli Chammandhi?
Heat coconut oil and fry chopped onions till golden.
Add chilli powder and salt to taste and fry just for a minute to remove the raw smell of the chilli powder.
Remove from fire. Add tamarind paste and grind to a smooth paste in the mixer.

Notes
You can serve this tasty dish as a side dish with idlis and dosas.
This can also be served as a side dish to the patients and the convalascents taking Kanji in the night.
