Mint Chutney / Pudhina Chutney


Ingredients needed for Pudhina Chutney
2 cups Pudhina / Mint leaves chopped
1 1/2 cup Grated coconut
3 green chillies
1 small piece ginger
1 small onion
2 tbsp oil
1 tsp mustard
a pinch asafoetida
1 stalk curry leaves
Salt to taste
1tsp lime juice

How to prepare Mint Chutney / Pudhina Chutney?
Grind coconut, pudhina leaves, green chillies, small onion and ginger to a smooth paste.
Heat oil in a frying pan, add mustard, asafoetida and curry leaves.
When they splutter add the ground paste, salt to taste and enough water to bring it to the right consistency.
Remove from fire and add lime juice. Mix well.

Note:

This can be served with Rice as a side dish and also with all snacks.
