Coconut Mango Chutney


Ingredients needed for Coconut Mango Chutney
1 cup grated coconut
1/2 cup grated mango
3 green chillies
a few curry leaves
Salt to taste

To Temper Coconut Mango Chutney
1 tsp oil,
1/4 tsp mustard
1/4 tsp urad dal (split)
1 red chilli ( broken into small bits)
1 stalk curry leaves

How to prepare Coconut Mango Chutney?
Grind all the ingredients for the chutney  into a smooth fine paste without water.
Heat oil in a fry pan, add the tempering ingredients and let them splutter.
Pour over the ground paste and mix well.
Adjust the consistency of the chutney as to your liking by adding a little water.

Notes
If you are not able to grate the mango, peel it with a peeler or a knife and then cut into small pieces.
If the mango is very sour lessen the amount of mango than it is used in the recipe.
You can use ripe red chillies also for this recipe, it will give a different flavour and colour.
