Curryveppila chutney / curry leaves chutney

Curry leaves is a well known and common herb which we know and use in India . The leaves have medicinal properties like that of a tonic. You can make this chutney and use it as an accompaniment with snacks

Ingredients needed for the Curryveppila Chutney
1 cup Curry leaves
1 onion, chopped
2 tomatoes, chopped
3 red chillies
1 tsp mustard seeds
1 tbsp urud dhal
a pinch of asafoetida
salt to taste
oil

How to prepare Curryveppila Chutney?
Heat oil in a fry pan, add mustard seeds and urud dhal. When the dal turns brown add red chilli, asafoetida and then onion.
When the onion turned transparent add curry leaves, saute two more minutes and add tomato and cook well.
Grind to a smooth paste with salt.
Serve with dosa, Idly, plain rice, Chappathi and also as a perfect side dish with Curd Rice.

Notes
You can add green coriander, puthina etc. with curry leaves. Adding these leaves will make the dish tastier and healthier.
