Unakka Chemmeen Thoran / Dried Prawns with Mango

Ingredients needed for Unakka Chemmeen Manga Thoran
200 grams dry prawns
3 raw mangoes
1 coconut grated
1 cup chopped small onions
4 green chillies
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp red chilli powder
handful curry leaves
Salt to taste
1 tbsp coconut oil
1/2 tsp methi seeds

How to prepare Unakka Chemmeen Manga Thoran?
First you have to prepare the  dried prawns. Fry them in a little oil, press with the back of the spoon to remove the head and tails.
Now crumble it with your hands / the pestle.  Wash in water and drainthe prawns and keep aside.
Wash and clean the raw mangoes, peel the skin and grate nicely.
Add crushed prawns, grated mangoes, grated coconut,  chopped small onions, chopped green chillies, chilli powder, turmeric powder, curry leaves and salt to taste   in a pan and mix well with hands.
Heat a tbsp of coconut oil fry pan, put in the mixture, stir well.
Sprinkle a little water, cover and simmer for 10 minutes.
Now open the cover and add methi seeds powder and a little coconut oil.
Cover and keep aside till ready to serve.
