Ingredients needed for Jaggery Pazhampori
1 cup Ponni boiled Rice
1 cup jaggery thick syrup strained
3 small sized ripe plantains ( palayamthodan pazham )
Salt to taste
oil for deep frying
How to prepare Pazhampori with jaggery?
Soak rice for 4-5 hours, drain and grind to a smooth batter.
Add jaggery syrup, maida, small sized plantains and a pinch of salt. Mix well and prepare the batter for coating pazhampori.
Now slit Nendran Bananas lengthwise in to two and again cut them crosswise.
Heat oil in a deep frying pan.
Dip each one of them in the prepared batter and deep fry in the hot oil till golden all over.
Serve as a snack during tea time.
