Pineapple Nendran Banana Curry, a Kerala Recipe

Ingredients needed for Pineapple Nendran Banana Curry:
Half of the pineapple chopped  into small pieces,
1/2  Kerala Nendran Banana / Ethapazham
4 green chillies
1 small piece ginger
a pinch of Turmeric powder
Salt to taste
1/2 cup fresh curds
3 dst sp coconut oil
1 tsp mustard
2 red chillies
1 pinch fenugreek seeds

How to prepare Pineapple Banana Curry ?
Peel and clean the skin of the pine apple carefully and chop them into small pieces.
Slit the nendran banana into two and then chop into small pieces.
Put them in a pressure pan, add turmeric powder, salt, slit green chillies and chopped ginger.
Cook for three whistles or till the fruits get soft and pulpy.
Dry up if there is any extra water in the fruit mix. Let it cool.
Mix curd, turmeric powder together, blend well and add to the cooled fruit mix.
Heat oil, add mustard, broken red chillies and fengreek seeds.
Pour over the curry. Serve hot as a side dish with steaming rice and sambar.

Notes
This is a sort of sweet and sour curry, just like a pachadi served in the sadyas.  It is easy to make and can also be served  with Phulkas, just like a raita. Try this new combo. I liked it and I hope you will all too.
