Ingredients needed for Pidi Kozhukatta with jaggery
1 cup Chemba Puttu podi
1 cup jaggery powdered
1 cup grated coconut crushed
a pinch of salt
1/2 tsp cardamom powder
ghee as needed
How to prepare Pidi Kozhukatta with jaggery?
Melt jaggery with a cup of water, strain and keep aside.
add salt to it and bring it to boil.
As it starts boiling add the rice flour little by little and cook till done. Add / sprinkle more water if needed.
The paste should be thick. add 2 tsps of ghee to the mix and let cool.
Shape balls out of this mixture and steam in the idli cooker.
The rice flour used in this recipe should be coarse powder like rava consistency and not very soft.
