Pacha Thakkali / Green Tomato Vattichathu


Ingredients needed for Pacha Thakkali Vattichathu
1 cup green unripe tomato chopped
1/2 cup onion  chopped
3 green chilies slit
few curry leaves
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp chilly powder
1 tsp coriander powder
1 cup fresh grated coconut
Salt to taste
2 tsps coconut oil

How to prepare Pacha Thakkali Vattichathu?
Crush chopped onions, slit green chillies, chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder and fresh grated coconut with your hands nicely.
Then add the chopped green tomato pieces and chopped curry leaves. Mix well.
Keep the pan covered on a slow flame and cook for about 20 minutes or until done.
Tomatoes should be cooked soft and the raw smell should not be there.
Add 2 tsp coconut oil. Mix well. Keep covered till it is time to serve.
Serve with rice.
