Ingredients needed for the Chicken Thoran
1 cup minced chicken / boiled chicken minced
1 tsp ginger, finely chopped
1 1/2 tsp garlic, finely chopped
1 sp green chillies, finely chopped
1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
1/2 cup tomatoes, finely chopped
1 tbsp oil
Salt to taste
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp chilli powder
few curry leaves
1/2 cup fresh grated coconut
How to prepare Chicken Thoran?
Heat oil in a frying pan. Saute chopped ginger, garlic, green chillies and onion till the onions get golden colour.
Simmer the flame and add turmeric powder and chilli powder, mix well.
Add salt to taste and chopped tomatoes.
See that the masala does not get burnt since no water is added.
When the tomatoes get soft and mushy add the chicken mince and stir well.
Cover and cook till it gets cooked.
Then add the beaten eggs.
Stir till they get the scrambled look and blend well .
Add grated coconut and mix well.
Cover and simmer for a minute or two for the coconut to blend well with the chicken egg mixture.
Serve as a side dish with Rice, Pulaos and biryanis and Chappathis as well.
