Ingredients needed for Mulagu Chutta Chammandhi
15 red chillies, longer and the red variety
1 cup small / sambar onions
a gooseberry size tamarind / 1 tsp thick tamarind paste
Salt to taste
2 pinches sugar
4 tsps coconut oil
handful curry leaves
How to prepare Mulagu Chutta Chammandhi?
Heat oil, add the red chillies and fry till they are crispy. Just be careful to see that they do not turn black or get burnt. Cool.
Now crush the small onions, tamarind and the red chillies together.
Add salt and sugar to this mixture. blend well.
Heat coconut oil, add the curry leaves. As it splutters pour over the chammandhi and mix well.
This Mulagu Chutta Chammandhi will stay without spoiling at least for 3-4 days. If you refrigerate this it will be good even for a week.
You can serve this Mulagu Chutta Chammandhi as a side dish for Idlis, dosas, Rava Dosa, Godhambu dosa etc
