Kerala Fish Curry With Coconut Milk


Ingredients needed for Kerala Fish Curry With Coconut Milk
1/2 kilo Salmon / king fish
1/2 cup Onion sliced
1/2 small onions sliced
1 tbsp each Crushed ginger & garlic
3 Green Chilly slit lengthwise
1 tbsp Chilli powder
1 tbsp Coriander powder
1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
1/2 tsp Fenugreek powder
3 kudampuli pieces
2 cups Medium thick coconut milk
1 cup Thick coconut Milk
Coconut oil as needed
Salt to taste

How to prepare Kerala Fish Curry With Coconut Milk?
Heat oil in a deep pan. Add crushed ginger and garlic, saute for a minute.
Add small onion, onion, green chillies and stir fry till the onions turn golden. Add the masala powders and Cook on low flame for 2-3 minutes or till oil starts separating.
Add kodumpuli and salt. Mix well.
Add medium thick coconut milk and bring it to a boil. Simmer and add cleaned fish pieces. Cook till the fish pieces are done.
Add thick coconut milk and swirl the pan gently. Simmer for 5-7 minutes. Remove from fire.

Notes
The curry tends to thicken as it rests, so adjust the quantity and the quality of the gravy accordingly.
If you like to temper the curry, you can do so. Splutter some mustard, curry leavesin a little oil and add it to the curry.
You can use any other fleshy fish to make this curry.
